Why this Blog?

Do you ever feel like you were meant to do something extraordinary? Well, that is not what this blog is about. This blog is simply a collection of journal entries chronicling myself, as a ordinary person, doing some pretty ordinary things, but these aren't just everyday mundane things that often people do day in and day out as part of a pre-defined routine. These things, despite being ordinary and can be done by anyone, have enriched my life and brought me happiness and enjoyment. Sometimes, all it takes is to step briefly outside of your comfort zone to have an incredible experience

I quit my job in an investment bank in mid 2012 to travel the world and learn martial arts for a year. At the time I was interviewed by another blog, and the interview here fully explains my reasons in much detail. Suffice to say, I was very happy with my previous job and have full intentions of returning to the finance field after my one year trip. This trip, is just another one of those ordinary things, that will help me lead a more fuller life.

This will not only be a blog about traveling or martial arts although they will play a bigger part for the next year or so. Aside from including things like travel, learning, and other ordinary experiences from my life, I also want to include step by step directions on how anyone can replicate any of these ordinary things that I have done or will be doing to experience greater joy and happiness in their lives. Bon voyage!
